FAQs

  • How does league point allocation work?
Each week, teams are ranked based on their performance and awarded points according to their final standing. For example, the 1st place team earns 1 point, while the 8th place team earns 8 points. Rankings are determined using the following criteria, in order: Total Sets Won Split Set Differential (i.e., the difference between sets won and lost head to head) Overall Point Differential Teams are divided into tiers (in the example below, tiers will consist of 4 teams) Tier 1 teams compete for 1st to 4th place, earning 1–4 points Tier 2 teams compete for 5th to 8th place, earning 5–8 points Each week, depending on tier realignment: The top 1-2 teams from Tier 2 move up to Tier 1 The bottom 1-2 teams from Tier 1 move down to Tier 2 This format keeps competition balanced and rewards consistent performance throughout the season.
  • Why are leagues open to a specific level of play?
Each of our leagues is tailored to a specific skill level to help create the best possible experience for everyone involved. While we’d love to mix all levels together, we’ve found that games are more fun, competitive, and safe when players are matched with others at a similar pace and experience level. Whether you’re brand new to the game, a seasoned player, or somewhere in between, playing at the right level ensures that rallies are exciting, teams are balanced, and no one feels overwhelmed or underchallenged.
  • Why do some of the sets start 4-4 instead of 0-0?
In our leagues with 3 matches per night, 2 sets each, we often start games at 4-4 instead of 0-0. This is because each match only gets about 28–30 minutes, and starting at 4-4 helps make sure there's enough time to finish both sets. If we started from 0-0, the second set might not get completed. It helps to keep the night running smoothly!
  • Can I register with a friend or a small group?
Absolutely! We welcome solo players, pairs, or small groups. When registering, just fill out your own information and use the “Registering With” section to include the names of any friends you'd like to be placed with. We'll do our best to make sure you're all on the same team. If you're signing up solo, no worries—we'll match you with a team of people based on your skill level and experience.
  • Are substitute players allowed?
Subs are allowed during the regular season, but there are a few important guidelines to keep things fair and organized: All subs must be of legal age (age of majority) for your region. Subs should be of a similar or lower skill level than the player they’re replacing. If possible, let the league organizer know ahead of time when you’re bringing a sub. For playoffs: Subs cannot play for more than one team within the same night or division, especially across different tiers. Players must be locked into one team per tier for playoffs to maintain competitive balance. Teams using subs for playoffs may be required to get prior approval to ensure fairness.
  • What is your refund policy for leagues?
We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to accommodate refund requests fairly while keeping leagues running smoothly. Full Refunds: A full refund will be granted to any team or individual who requests to withdraw at least 14 days prior to the league start date. Partial Refunds (1–13 Days Before Start): Withdrawal requests made within 1 to 13 days of the league start date will be subject to a $75.00 team withdrawal fee or a $15.00 individual withdrawal fee. The remaining balance will be refunded. Pro-Rated Refunds (Up to Week 4): If a team or individual withdraws within the first 4 weeks of the league, a pro-rated refund may be issued, minus the applicable withdrawal fee. Refunds after Week 4 are not typically issued. Injury Exceptions: Refunds due to injury may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
